Olympus M.Zuiko 75-300mm F4.8-6.7 ED
$799.00
Released January, 2011
The Pros:Picture picture quality is very sharp - video and photo content captured at full zoom is clear and vivid. Slim, lightweight design is ideal for freehand outdoor photography - most users will be able to conduct a full day of shooting without considerable wrist strain. Massive zoom capabilities are ideal for distant wildlife shots - birds and mammals can be captured with minimal risk of startling or endangering the animal.
The Cons:Overall response time is fairly slow - may result in some users missing or sabotaging a difficult shot. Doesn't provide a true 600mm equivalent field of view as compared to similar models from Canon and Sigma - may disappoint users hoping to capture wide-angle shots from a long distance.
The Olympus M Zuiko Digital ED 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 lens has a 35 mm equivalent of 150-600mm, making it the world's smallest and lightest 600mm super telephoto lens. At a weight of only 15.17oz and measuring 2.76 by 4.57 inches, it delivers portability and high image quality in conjunction with Olympus PEN cameras, while its single-element, rear focusing mechanism results in fast and nearly silent HD video recordings with sound.
